DIAMOND
ROTARY CUT OFF SAW

This
machine was developed to provide accurate cutting of large diameter glass,
quartz, ceramic, and other tubing square with the longitudinal axis of the
tube. This is especially useful on quartz tubing used for furnace tubes in
semiconductor industry.
Accurate
cutting is accomplished with a thin 6” (150mm) diameter diamond slicing
blade mounted on a precision stainless steel spindle with coolant feed via
the wheel flanges to the cutting area. Minimum cutting fluid flows into
the inside of the tubing to minimize cleaning.
All
important parts & components are in the wet area are aluminum or
stainless steel. All parts subject to wear are modular and easily replaced
if required. The precision spindle assembly is easily removable for
inspection if necessary. |

Operation:
1.)
Set end stop to desired length to be cut
2.)
Turn hand wheel to retract wheel head
3.)
Place glass tube on precision rubber rollers & rotate the top surface
4.)
Press foot pedal to start spindle wheel head rotation and slowly turn
hand wheel to feed cutting wheel into the wall of the glass tube, slowly
rotating the tubing towards the operator until complete cutting off is
accomplished. Adjustable rollers on cut-off side support the cut off piece
