Diamond Pellets

Diamond pellets are ideally suited to superfine glass, sapphire and ceramics. Coolant can be effective applied to reach the work surface. This feature also enhances swarf dispersion witch is needed for may of the superfining operations. UKAM Industrial provides a wide variety of pellet sizes and matrix compositions to accommodate all phases of pellet grinding applications.

Diamond pellets are available in standard diameters ranging from ¼” to 1” diameter.

Diamond concentration for pellets must be in correlation to diamond grit size

• Roughing to semi finishing (100 to 400 mesh) – 100 concentration

• Semi-finishing (45 microns) – 75 concentration

• Finishing (20-30 microns) – 50 concentration

• Super-finishing (15-20 microns) – 35 concentration

• Pre-polish grinding (6-9 microns) – 25 concentration
