(Metal Bond) Diamond Drills should be periodically dressed, in order to
rexpose new diamonds. Otherwise, the diamond tool will glaze over. They will begin
to tear rather than grind which is very destructive. Tearing caused from
unexposed diamonds creates friction. This causes uneven wear and heat
cracks in the diamond tool as well as material being drilled. Resulting
in premature diamond drill wear, and will
eventually destroy the diamond tool. The more a diamond drill is dress the
faster and more consistently it will drill. more

How
to connect Water Swivel Adapter to your diamond drill and drilling equipment:
-
All
water swivel adapters have 1/2" (.500") shank diameter that will
fit 1/2" drilling machine chuck. Just about all drilling equipment
world wide such as: drill press, hand held drill, angle grinder, milling,
cnc machine and others have 1/2" chuck.

All
water swivel adapters and diamond core drills have Male or Female Thread. If
water swivel adapter has Male thread, than diamond core drill must have
female thread to connect. Thread size for water swivel and diamond drill
must be same type/diameter. For example, to connet to 5/8-11" male
thread water swivel adapter, you diamond drills must have 5/8-11"
female thread.

Connect
Plastic tubing or water hose to the other end of the water swivel adapter to
constant coolant source, such as your kitchen fauset or several gallons of
coolant placed above drilling zone with submersible pump.

For
water swivel adapter to be affective we recommend running at least 45 PSI
(pressure per square inch) through the center of your diamond drill. A
faucet has more than enough pressure to supply 45 PSI of coolant.
